Many families run homestays in traditional stilt houses and cook dinner for guests, usually with fish from the lake and vegetables from the garden. Rooms are simple, often with mattresses on the wooden floor under mosquito nets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It suits a slow evening by the water: walk through the village at sunset, eat a home-cooked meal and sleep early to catch the boat in the morning.
