Our goal
We aim for VietnamOrigin to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, level AA. That is a goal, not a certification: the site has not yet had a full independent audit, and we keep fixing problems as we find them.
What we do
- Keyboard use: menus, search, dialogs, forms and the chat can be used without a mouse, and the item you are on shows a visible outline.
- Screen readers: pages use headings, landmarks and labelled buttons and form fields; icons that carry meaning have text alternatives, and decorative ones are hidden.
- Text and colour: text uses high-contrast colours and one readable typeface. You can zoom to 200% or enlarge the text in your browser without losing content.
- Touch and small screens: buttons and links have large touch targets, and pages adapt to phones, tablets and desktops.
- Motion: if your device is set to reduce motion, we turn off animations and page transitions.
- Images: photos in our guides have descriptive alternative text, and meaningful information is never shown in an image alone.
Known limits
Some things are not yet fully accessible:
- The interactive map is visual. The same places are listed as text on each destination and attraction page, but the map itself is hard to use with a keyboard or screen reader.
- Photos and text submitted by visitors in reviews may lack alternative text or contain mistakes we have not yet caught.
- Content from partners, such as booking widgets and tour listings, is outside our control and may not meet the same standard.
- The travel assistant is an automated chat, and its answers may be harder to follow with some assistive tools.
Tips for reading the site
- Use your browser’s zoom (Ctrl or Cmd with + and −) and reader or text-only modes.
- Use the On this page menu on long guides to jump between sections.
- Every destination page lists its attractions as plain text, so you can plan without the map.
Tell us about a problem
If something on VietnamOrigin is hard to use, please tell us through the contact form: the page address, what went wrong, and the device or assistive tool you use. We reply within five working days, and we will suggest another way to get the information if we cannot fix the problem right away.
Updates
We review this statement when we make major changes to the site, and at least once a year. The date at the top shows the latest review. See also our Privacy policy and Cookies page.
