Terms of Use

VietnamOrigin is an independent guide for planning trips to Vietnam. We publish information, recommendations and links. We are not a travel agent, tour operator, airline or hotel, and we do not sell travel services ourselves.

We work hard to keep guides accurate and up to date, and each page shows when it was last updated. Even so, prices, opening hours, routes, weather, entry rules and visa requirements change often. Treat everything here as general guidance, and check with the provider, the venue or the official government source before you book or travel. You are responsible for your own travel decisions, safety, insurance and documents.

Some links are affiliate links, marked or described as such. If you buy through them we may earn a commission, at no extra cost to you. This does not change what we recommend. When you book, your contract is with the provider, not with us, and their terms, prices and refund rules apply. We are not responsible for what they provide.

You can use most of the site without an account. If you create one, give a real email address and keep access to it, because we use it to send your login code. You are responsible for what happens under your account. You can delete it at any time from the account menu.

When you post a review, photo or message, you confirm that it is honest, based on your own experience, and yours to share. You keep ownership, and you give us a free, worldwide licence to display, edit for length or clarity, and keep it on VietnamOrigin and in our promotion of the site.

We may hold back or remove content that is false, paid for, abusive, hateful, off-topic, advertising, or that exposes someone’s private details. Do not post content that infringes anyone’s rights.

The chat assistant is an automated tool. It can make mistakes or be out of date, and it is not professional travel, legal, medical or safety advice. Do not share personal or sensitive details in the chat, and check anything important with an official source.

Please do not:

• copy, scrape or republish our guides in bulk, or use them to train software, without our written permission;
• try to break, overload or gain unauthorised access to the site or other people’s accounts;
• use the contact form or reviews to send spam, malware or unlawful content;
• pretend to be someone else or misuse our name.

The text, structure, design, maps and original photos on VietnamOrigin belong to us or our contributors and are protected by copyright. You may read them, share links, and quote a short extract with a clear link back to the page. Other uses need our written permission. Third-party names and logos belong to their owners.

The site links to websites we do not control. We are not responsible for their content, availability or privacy practices. Following a link is at your own risk.

The site and its content are provided “as is”, without promises that they will be complete, error-free or always available. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for losses that result from using the site or relying on its content, including cancelled bookings, missed connections, changed prices, injury or lost belongings. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, for example for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
