Cholon's big wholesale market, busy with traders, spices, dried goods and tea.
Binh Tay Market is the largest market in Cholon, Ho Chi Minh City's Chinatown. It was built in the 1920s and has a central courtyard with a clock tower. Most of the trade is wholesale: dried foods, spices, tea, herbs, kitchenware and fabrics.
It is less polished than Ben Thanh Market and more local. Most visitors spend 45 minutes to an hour, and go in the morning when the market is busiest. It pairs well with the Thien Hau Temple in Cholon.
