A French-era colonial prison that now serves as a history museum.
Kon Tum Prison was built by the French colonial authorities in the early twentieth century to hold political prisoners. It is now a museum, with cells, exhibits and photographs of the people held there, and it gives context to the history of the region.
A visit is short, usually 30 to 60 minutes. It sits in the town itself, so it is easy to combine with the wooden church and the Bahnar communal houses on a half-day walk.
