The best way to explore Trang An is by taking a traditional wooden boat rowed by local boatmen. When you arrive at the boat station, you can choose one of three main routes (each takes about 2.5 to 3 hours):
- Route 1: Takes you through 9 natural caves and 3 spiritual temples. This route is best for travelers who love adventurous cave exploration and learning about local history.
- Route 2: Passes through 4 caves and 3 temples, including the famous Suoi Tien Temple and the former Kong: Skull Island film set location. This is the most balanced and popular route for first-time visitors.
- Route 3: Features Dot Cave—the longest cave in Trang An at 1,000 meters—along with fewer total caves, giving you more time to enjoy open water views and take scenic photos.

- Seniors (60+ years old): 150,000 VND / person (valid ID/passport required at the ticket counter).
- Tour Guide Fee (Optional): 300,000 VND / tour (if you wish to hire a private guide for your boat).
Note for Families & Groups: Standard boats carry 4 adults. If you have young children under 1.0m, they can sit with their parents without needing a separate seat. Staff at the ticket counter will measure your children's height before issuing tickets.
