A 1930s Art Deco station with a tourist steam train, one of the prettiest in Vietnam.
Da Lat Railway Station was built in the 1930s in an Art Deco style with three tall, curved roof peaks. It is one of the best-known buildings in the city and a favourite for photos. The station is no longer on a long-distance line, but a tourist train runs a short route to the village of Trai Mat, and carriages of different eras are on show.
A visit takes about 30 minutes, or 90 if you ride the tourist train. Ask at the ticket office for the departure times and prices of the day. The cafes around the station are a handy place to rest.
