A winding coastal mountain pass between Da Nang and Hue with sweeping sea views.
The Hai Van Pass climbs from Da Nang over a mountain headland towards Lang Co. The old road is a famous scenic ride, while the tunnel carries most traffic.

About 30 km north of Da Nang; usually covered on the trip to Hue by car or motorbike.
Between Da Nang and Hue
It is steep and winding, so ride slowly; many people take a guided tour or a car.
About 1 – 2 hrs for the pass itself.
A car with a driver or a guided tour is easier than riding yourself if you are not experienced.
