Overview

Lung Cu Flag Tower marks the northernmost point of Vietnam. A large flag flies at the top of a stone tower on Dragon Mountain, and the climb of several hundred steps rewards you with a view over the border and the Hmong villages below.

The village of Lung Cu has stone houses and a local market, and the road to the tower passes through corn fields and flower terraces. It is a long day from Dong Van, so many visitors combine it with a stop at the Hmong King’s Palace.

Highlights

  • Climb the stairway to the flag tower
  • See the border area and the Hmong villages
  • Walk through the stone village of Lung Cu
  • Combine with the Hmong King’s Palace and Dong Van
