An old Taoist temple beside West Lake, home to a large bronze statue of Tran Vu.
Quan Thanh Temple is a Taoist temple on the edge of West Lake. It is one of the Four Guardian Temples of old Thang Long and honours the god Tran Vu. Its centrepiece is a large bronze statue of the god cast in the 17th century.
The visit is short, usually 20 to 30 minutes. The temple is a few minutes from Tran Quoc Pagoda and the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum area, so it fits easily into a morning walk.
