A French-era lighthouse on Small Mountain with a steep road up and wide views of the bay, the city and the sea.
The Vung Tau Lighthouse was built by the French in the 1900s on the highest point of Small Mountain. It is one of the oldest lighthouses in southern Vietnam and still serves ships entering the bay.
The road to the top is steep and winding but short. Visitors come mainly for the view over the town, the beach and the sea, especially in the late afternoon.
